The big birthday bash was just as chaotic as every other day is with twin 2 year olds, and I didn't get to take a lot of pictures. Luckily Grandma had these pictures posted somewhere for me to steal (thanks JoAnn). The babies had a ton of fun and were so excited about all their presents (especially the new jeep)!
Life with twins is not as difficult as people say, just chaotic, crazy, messy, etc!!! A few things about Grif and Hadlee now that they are two...
Hadlee: She is the queen bee of the house, if someone is telling someone else what to do, Hadlee will jump right in and help out in the "bossing" department. Her favorite thing she has picked up the past week...if Griffin has taken something from her or is running away she yells out "Griffin Matern", and occasionally will call out the whole "Griffin Dax Matern". It is hilarious. She loves her babies, her new skateboarding build-a-bear named "Peanut", her pretties (bracelets and necklaces), & hockey. She is starting to learn a lot of letters and constantly points out "H" Hadlee, "G" for Griffin, "T" for Talon, etc. She loves pink and thinks she owns the color. Of course her mom is having trouble with that...but for now it's okay. When she is asked if she likes princesses she says "No, they P.U. I like hockey!" We are hoping we can keep it that way.
Griffin: Griffin is our "little man" who still outweighs his sister by 6 pounds and is 2 inches taller. His favorite thing to do is to shut the bedroom door while Hadlee is in there because she is not tall enough to open the door (but he is). He is a typical boy who climbs on and jumps off of everything. He loves trucks (or big "kucks"), hockey, his big brother, and causing trouble. He has the cutest (depending on the day) mischievous little smile that crosses his face when he knows he is about to do something naughty. He loves to sing songs...right now they are in their beds and I just heard him singing "twinkle little star", now he is singing "goodnight" (by the black-eyed peas)! He also got a new build-a-bear for his birthday, a hockey bear named "Gretsky".

NO WAY! It does not seem like 2 years!! Wow!! I guess it has though! Happy belated to those sweet babies!!
I can't believe they are 2! Happy Birthday Griffin & Hadlee! It sounds like they are a lot of fun and keep you on your toes.
