THE MUCH ANTICIPATED BIRTHDAY!!
Griffin and Hadlee turned 3 on January 14th
They have been saying they are "2 1/2" for what seems like WAY too long to them. Funny thing, it changed to "3 1/2" the day after their birthday!!
Hadlee's cousin Rachel recently had a birthday and her mom made her a pink cake which Hadlee has not stopped talking about since. She was determined to have a "pinkalicious" cake just like Rachel's for HER birthday too. Thanks Aunt Packy for making the cake (because we all know Hadlee's mom can't do it)!
Griffin, on the other hand, wanted a "spicy cake". We are not quite sure where this idea came from. But he does love spicy food. I wasn't sure that salsa (spicy, right?) would go well with cake. I am sure the bakery thought I was crazy when I explained my dilemma to them. We settled on a chocolate cake with mint filling and peppermints on top. He thought his spicy cake was just perfect. WHEW!!
And I just had to throw this picture in. It is never a party until Griffin cries!! But he does look really cute (in hindsight)!!

Talon got on a hat making kick while his 4th grade class was making hats to donate. He decided to make his brother and sister a hat for their birthday. They love them!! Good thing they have a talented big brother. I couldn't even help him with the small things he did actually need help with. He had to ask Grandma and "T". He did a great job!
